Size matters
Here’s a venue huge enough to outdo the wedding of Christopher Lee and Fann Wong – the Compass Ballroom. Invite everyone from your address book as the ballroom can hold some 4000 guests. It’s also the largest column-free ballroom in the region, meaning your guests can enjoy unblocked views of the night’s proceedings. Heck, it was even the venue for Mediacorp’s Stars Awards. Want to signal the end of singlehood if a bang? This place is it.
A blue wedding
If 4000 guests aren’t enough for you, how about having more than 50,000 witnesses on your special day? That’s right, your special day can even happen at the S.E.A. Aquarium, the world’s largest aquarium. The Ocean Gallery can accommodate some 240 guests who can take in its wondrous blue hue and enjoy the magnificent view. Prior to the dinner, lovebirds can exchange their vows at the 40-seater Ocean Dome, right next to the Ocean Gallery.
The flower child
Nothing says peace and love like having your big day surrounded by lush greenery. Consider the Equarius Hotel Lawn – an area big enough for some 250 guests. After the exchanging vows under the clear blue sky, you can move to Equarius Hotel’s Glass Pavilion for a light reception.
Happily ever after
For those who believe in fairy tales (we do), Universal Studios Singapore is the perfect place for you. Roll out the red carpet and have your wedding ceremony amidst the sprawling theme park. Say ‘I do’ in front of the Far Far Away castle, dance the night away at the streets of New York or whisper sweet nothings at the grandiose Egypt zone. You can even have your favourite Universal Studios characters join you. It’s going to be a happily ever after, the Fairy Godmother can guarantee.
