Experience full moon and full flavours this Mid-Autumn Festival

Flaky pastry with Organic Japanese Purple or Golden Sweet Potato

The Mid-Autumn festival is one of the rare occasions in a year where the full moon will be out in full glory. With that in mind, why not admire it together with your family and friends with a box of savoury mooncakes and a pot of fragrant tea?

This year, take it a step forward with something fresh and unique from Feng Shui Inn’s mooncake offerings. Instead of the usual snow skin mooncakes, Chinese Head Chef Li Kwok Kwong and his team of dedicated chefs have created a Teochew-inspired version — Flaky crust mooncakes with Organic Japanese Sweet Potato Paste or purple potato that adds much desired novelty into this year’s selection of Mid-Autumn Festival delicacies.

Within the thin layered crumbling skin is a generous amount of organic Japanese Sweet Potato Paste, available in two flavours — purple or golden sweet potato. This version is a twist from the traditional teochew mooncakes that have purple yam as fillings. To create a healthier version for all, Chef Li decided to incorporate organic sweet potatoes from Japan for a modern twist — resulting in an extremely smooth and flavourful core.
