[Food]: 3 places to fill your tummies at the Marine Life Park
Splashing at the water theme park and appreciating the beauty of the sea takes a lot out of you. Re-fuel at these 3 F&B outlets. Get ready for food that fits every budget.
The Bay Restaurant, Adventure Cove Waterpark
Where is it located? Beside the Rainbow Reef where you can snorkel amongst reef fish. It’s the only double storey restaurant in the resort – it also has the biggest seating space.
What to expect: Fuss free food. Find combo meals, kid’s meals and vegetarian options. We recommend the Ham and Cheese wrap filled with cucumbers and tomatoes if you want to down something in rapid bites, and the Chicken Pesto Ciabatta if you want something really filling. On the other hand, opt for the Grilled South Asian Chicken with rice for something that tastes closer to home.
Great for: Families and groups of friends, especially since they have family feast sets (good for four).
Price:
Soups, salads and sandwiches from $3.80
Combo meals from $9.80
Family feasts from $35.00
Desserts from $3.50
Café Grotto, Adventure Cove Waterpark
Where is it located? Café Grotto lies in the middle of the theme park, right beside Whirlpool Washout and Spiral Washout. Walk up the stairway into the grotto on the second level; remember to look out for carvings of sea life and ancient civilizations in the restaurant’s cave-like setting.
What to expect: A wide array of pizzas, burgers, light bites and desserts. Some noteworthy dishes are the seafood platter served in a bucket and the Chicken Quesadillas generously filled with tender chicken chunks, diced tomatoes and crispy lettuce.
Great for: a little getaway from the bustle of the park.
Price:
Soups and salads from $3.80
Hot bites from $3.00
Desserts from $2.50
Beverages from $2.50
* Kindly take note that Café Grotto will be opening end of this year.
Ocean Restaurant, S.E.A Aquarium
Where is it located? Ocean Restaurant is located to the left of the Open Ocean Gallery (when you stand facing it) and houses a viewing panel so you can watch the habitat as you tuck into your meal. There is direct access to the restaurant either from the S.E.A Aquarium or alternatively, from the West Zone B1M car park entrance.
What to expect: A broad selection of both Asian and European favourites. We particularly liked the locally farmed sea bass seated on a bed of fresh peas, Chorizo sausages and fine vegetables. And if you’re up for something different, try the burger with an Asian twist – Chinese char siew pork burger served with chunky fries. It’s filled with BBQ char siew pork slices, green lettuce, sliced tomatoes and pork floss, all drizzled with flavourful dressing—definitely worth a try.
Great for: Dates, special family outings, or even business lunches.
Price:
Appetisers from $14
Main courses from $24
Desserts from $12
All MLP F&B outlets are open from 11am to 7pm daily.
