Every time the school holidays arrive, kids will be rejoicing while parents will be lamenting what to do with their Duracell bunnies. So if you’re looking for somewhere entertaining enough to drain their limitless supply of energy without breaking the bank, read on.
A sea of fun
If your kids love creatures with fins or dream of diving 30,000 leagues under the sea, then get ready to pack your bags for the S.E.A. Aquarium. This March holidays, we have something planned specially for them.
Watch their eyes light up as they learn more about seahorses and seadragons with various educational art and craft activities. For time-traveller wannabes and older kids, Back-to-Temasek is a 3D game that they won’t want to miss. By creating virtual characters, they can go back in time to 14th and 15th century Singapore and “experience” how life was like back then in the fishing village of Temasek.
Don’t forget to catch the seahorse and mermaid characters who will be “swimming” through the crowd to say hi on weekends.
When: 15 – 23 March 2014, 10am – 7pm
Where: S.E.A Aquarium
Money Saving Tip:
Purchase 3 adult tickets online for only $88 (U.P. $114). Singapore residents only.

It’s true that you don’t have to be rich to have fun. Here are some tips to having a great time with your loved ones at Resorts World Sentosa without digging deep into your pockets.
Get wet
Kids are drawn to waterplay areas the way moths are attracted to light. The little ones will be thrilled to splish and splosh away at the fountain cum waterplay area at the Bullring, located between Universal Studios Singapore and the Lake of Dreams. Best of all, it’s free. Just bring an extra change of clothes.
Eat at the food street
Malaysia Food Street is one place that should be on your radar if you’re looking for affordable, delicious food. Tuck into timeless favourites like Penang Assam Laksa, Claypot Chicken Rice, Char Koay Teow, Klang Bak Kut Teh and Chendol from less than $6 each.
