From 15 June to 20 August 2017, expect Minion mayhem in Universal Studios Singapore with its Despicable Me Breakout Party!
The mischievous Minions are celebrating the release of Despicable Me 3 movie in Singapore on 15 June 2017 by throwing a party at Universal Studios Singapore. You are invited.
So prepare your best Minions pose, don your favourite Minions garb and head on down to Universal Studios Singapore to do these 7 things.
1. Join Rodney’s Rotten Game Show
Rodney Rotten, self-professed biggest fan of villain Balthazar Bratt in Despicable Me 3, will be hosting his own show at Universal Studios Singapore’s Hollywood Lagoon Stage.
Watch performances by the Minions and take part in dancing games, trivia contest and even a banana eating competition! There are prizes to be won.
Location: Hollywood Lagoon Stage
Time: Sun-Fri 12pm, 2.30pm, 5.30pm | Sat 12pm, 2pm, 5.30pm
2. Go bananas at the Minion Mob
Keep an eye out for the ‘surprise’ – as the Minions break out of jail and stomp through Hollywood zone. Catch Jailbird Minions Mel, Kevin, Stuart and Jerry in a high-energy dance extravaganza, followed by the new Meet and Greet experience with the Minions and Gru. This will also be Mel and Gru’s debut appearances in Singapore, so don’t miss out.
Location: Hollywood zone
Time: It’s a surprise but a little bird tells us it is sometime in the afternoon.
3. Get photos with Jailbird Minions
With the Minions in their prison uniforms, this is your one-in-a-Minion chance to get photos of these life-sized characters (and Gru) for your social feeds. It won’t be Minions as usual.
Time: Depends. Take the cue from our park attendants.
4. Get a tattoo
Jailbreaking is cooler with tattoos. Look the part with temporary tattoos at the Minion Tattoo Parlour. You’ll get 2 tattoos for S$1, and there’s even a complimentary tattoo for kids below 12 years old.

5. Play and win at the carnival game stalls
Join the fun at the game stalls set up next to the giant inflatable Minion. Do note that not all games will be available immediately from launch.
- Minion Mishap (throw ball into coloured holes)
- Super Silly Space Killer (aka throw ball to knock down cups)
- Minion Toss (basketball game)
- Minion Blaster (shoot down capsules with a NERF gun)
Game play vouchers cost S$5 (for one), S$10 (for three) and S$20 (for eight). Each attempt requires a voucher. Reach each of the game’s goals and take home prizes.

6. Snack on Minions-themed food and drinks
Grab your Minions snacks and bites from the pop-up Minion-themed stall. Get your fix of buns, cupcakes, soft serve and more.
Location: At the corner of Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Hollywood Lagoon Stage
7. See the park in full Minions alert
Minions, Minions, Minions everywhere you look (in Hollywood zone). Photo opportunities abound so keep your cameras handy.
Location: Entrance arch and along Hollywood zone
The Despicable Me Breakout Party is included as part of the regular programming at Universal Studios Singapore from 15 June to 20 August 2017. All you’ll need is a regular admission ticket to the theme park.
