From 10 December 2015 to 4 January 2016, you can catch the Asian premiere of Cinderella: A Fairly True Story at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

This musical production, a collaboration between RWS and Music Hall Production–the team that brought you Peter Pan, The Never Ending Story, is adapted from the 2013 Europe production in Assepoester, Het Tamelijk Ware Verhaal.
While classic elements of the Cinderella story such as the ball, the pumpkin transformation and iconic glass slippers remain, the show is a new take on the story.

Told from the point of view of a reporter, the musical focuses on the story of Cinderella as an orphan girl growing in forced circumstances among her terrible stepmother and two stepsisters.
As the reporter recounts to the audience Cinderella’s life and ambitions, he rejects any magical interventions and encourages Cinderella to face up to her own responsibility.
Cinderella: A Fairly True Story features an international cast, a mix of original music and popular hits, with dynamic choreography and memorable moments of magic. As with Peter Pan, The Never Ending Story, Grammy-winning composer Matt Dunkley will act as musical director for the show.
Catch Cinderella: A Fairly True Story at Resorts World Theatre from December to January. It’s a show that will enchant the whole family during the festive period.
