And so did about 1000 of his fans! They packed the Coliseum at Resorts World Sentosa on 19 August to be up close and personal with their idol, who was in town to launch The Face Shop’s latest product. Many posed with Kim Hyun Joong’s enormous backdrop, rumaged through the goodie bag with glee and waved whatever KHJ accesory they had with them.
The youthful lad is the main dancer of the popular boyband SS501 and has been rapidly gaining popularity as a style icon in Korea in recent years. He’s also enjoyed success beyond Asia since his role as Yoon Ji Hoo in the 2009 hit drama series Boys Over Flowers. And now, with his role in the hit series drama Mischevious/ Playful Kiss, his popularity soared even higher. It’s no wonder fans could not get enough of him. Here’s a peek into his The Face Shop product launch at the Coliseum.
His fans came in all shapes and sizes, ages and races—some had even flown in from Taiwan and Philippines.
