A Universal Christmas: experience the most wonderful time of the year at Universal Studios Singapore

Visit www.universalchristmas.sg/contest to tap and win in our daily giveaways from 1 to 24 December 2017!

The joy of Christmas isn’t something you can put into words – it’s something you have to experience for yourself. We can, however, detail what you can expect at Universal Studios Singapore (USS)’s A Universal Christmas this year.

With a 15m tall Christmas Tree House, a new and improved Santa’s Workshop, multimedia light shows, exuberant musical performances and a spectacular fireworks display, we promise you’ll be filled with yuletide cheer after a day at USS this December.

Santa’s Workshop (Immersive experience)

Back by popular demand, Santa’s Workshop is bigger and more immersive than ever before!

Take on the role of an elf-in-training as you complete a series of tasks to fill your certificate with ‘F’s. Now I know what you’re thinking: ‘F’ is usually considered a bad grade. But here at Santa’s Workshop, the ‘F’s actually stand for:

  • Finding an object
  • Following instructions
  • Finishing the job
  • Having fun
  • Festive feasting
Enter your name and take a photo for your elf certification to be printed out on the spot

No expense has been spared in helping you enter the psyche of an elf-in-training. From larger-than-life sets giving the illusion that you’ve shrunk down to elf size, to multi-sensory details like the smell of gingerbread in Mrs. Claus’s kitchen, a walk-through of Santa’s Workshop is one that is interactive, immersive and experiential.

P.S. there are also a couple of Insta-worthy hallways filled with bedazzling fairy lights – in my opinion, this alone makes it worth coming down to A Universal Christmas (#doingitforthegram):

Santa’s Snowy Sleigh Ride (Live parade)

Welcome Santa Claus and his entourage comprising elves and reindeer as they parade down the streets of New York. But don’t just stand there and watch – join in the merriment by singing and dancing along to your favourite Christmas tunes!

The parade ends in front of a staggering 15-m tall Santa’s Christmas Tree House at Hollywood Lagoon, making for a perfect photo op to commemorate how you and your loved ones spent the holidays this year.

Oscar’s Grouchmas (Live Show)

Is it possible for anyone to hate Christmas? When the ‘Nice’ list goes missing at the North Pole, our friends at Sesame Street prove that no one – not even Oscar the Grouch – can hate the season of giving, kindness, love and friendship.

Delivering witty banter, original musical numbers, as well as kid-friendly Rock n’ Roll renditions of all-time favourites like Jingle Bells, Oscar’s Grouchmas is an all-round feel-good production that will undoubtedly fill you with Christmas cheer.

Search for a Christmas Star at World of Stars (Evening Show)

The party only truly begins when the sun goes down, as a flying Airy Fairy swishes her magical wand to light up the streets of New York – a truly enchanting spectacle that will leave everyone going ‘wow’.

This sets the stage for Search for a Christmas Star, a talent competition in search of well, a Christmas star. A music and dance extravaganza featuring aerial acrobatics, special effects, snowfall and state-of-the-art projection mapping, Search for a Christmas Star promises to delight and amaze both the young, and the young at heart.

Spoiler alert: there’ll be lots of confetti snow that the kids will love
