It wasn’t a rare power failure in Singapore (almost never these days), but across the country, many locations turned dark for an hour. Resorts World Sentosa was one of them.
On Saturday, 25 March 2017 from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, Resorts World Sentosa joined more than 3,000 landmarks and locations from around the world in observing Earth Hour, a movement started by WWF to spread awareness on energy waste.
In that hour, water features and non-essential lighting were switched off around the Resort, casting a romantic hue to many parts. For couples out for an evening stroll, it certainly provided an interesting change of scenery.
This year is the eighth years that Resorts World Sentosa has taken part in WWF’s Earth Hour movement.
