A brand new original theatrical magic spectacular, Incanto will play from 8 November at Festive Grand Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. Headlined by Joe Labero, one of the world’s top illusionists, Incanto will feature an ensemble of 50 international performers in a high-energy combination of extraordinary illusion, acrobatics, vocals and dynamic dance moves.
Incanto revolves around the adventure of a Seeker as she enters a mysterious fantasy world, befriends the Sorcerer, meets the whimsical Jester and finds herself in the midst of a battle between Good and Evil, led by the Sorcerer against the fearful Dungeon Master.
Joe Labero, who plays the Sorcerer, is a three-time recipient of the Merlin Award – the equivalent of the Oscars in the magic world – and has played live to sell-out crowds from Las Vegas, Australia, Sweden and South Africa. His television special has been broadcasted throughout Europe to millions of amazed viewers.
“Incanto is exceptional. It is magic, it is theatre and it is surreal. You have to see it to believe it,” Ben Russell, Director of Incanto said.
This 90-minute original production will showcase some mind-blowing illusions like the Double Levitation – where Seeker and Sorcerer soar more than 10 metres simultaneously above the stage – and death-defying stunts including a 12-metre high Wheel of Death act. Combined with stunning vocals, dynamic dance moves and epic special effects, the show is presented in a light-hearted gothic-comedic style that is entertaining to the whole family.
Presented by Resorts World Sentosa and in association with Danze Fantasy Productions, Incanto will raise its curtains on 8 November 2012 at Resorts World Sentosa’s 1600-seat Festive Grand Theatre. Public preview performances will be staged on 4 and 5 November, ahead of the official opening night premiere on 8 November 2012.
