Snapshots: Michelin Guide Singapore 2016 gala dinner

The Michelin Guide Singapore 2016 gala dinner and awards ceremony on 21 July was a (Michelin) star-studded event attended by more than 600 guests.

The ticketed gala dinner marked the first time a Michelin launch was open to the public. Hosted at Resorts World Ballroom, guests dined on a 5-course menu and were the first to find out about the winners of the first Michelin guide for Singapore.

The setting was opulent and the food was divine. Let’s take a look:

Behind the scenes

For an event that signifies the cream of the crop of dining, the food must be impeccable. Chefs from Resorts World Sentosa, Candlenut and Les Amis prepared the 5-course menu.

At the award ceremony, a total of 29 dining establishments were awarded Michelin stars.

Four Resorts World Sentosa restaurants made it into the guide, making RWS the one destination in Singapore to host the most Michelin star-studded restaurants. Joël Robuchon Restaurant was also the only 3 Michelin-starred restaurant.
