JUMP is described as an action comedy martial arts performance. Plenty of high energy hijinks are abound in this performance that combines taekwondo with modern art performance.
JUMP, the most hilarious Korean martial arts family and a highlight show for tourists to Korea, is back to celebrate their 10th Anniversary.
It has staged over 9,000 performances to 3.5 million audiences in six continents since its debut in 2003, even receiving a top box office award at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Enjoying sold-out runs in 2009 and 2011, join them in Singapore from 30 Aug – 1 Sep 2013 for flipping fun times all over again. Air tickets to Korea not required.
This non-verbal, 80-minute hyperactive sitcom, delivers lots of laughter together with different martial art forms, acrobatics and butt-kicking, live-action shenanigans. Expect jaw-dropping flips, punches and kicks and brilliant slapstick humour, with no second takes, no wires and no special effects, by actors who have gone through years of martial arts training. Critics have dubbed JUMP as “Jackie Chan meets Charlie Chaplin”.
JUMP 2013 tells the story of a Korean family well-versed in martial arts, with a crotchety grandfather who enjoys nothing more than challenging the rest of the family to martial arts showdowns. The family members use their expertise to repel two burglars who break into their house, to hilarious effect — showing off their extensive training in martial arts, acrobatics, gymnastics, as well as comic acting all at the same time.
As one of the must see shows to catch if you are holidaying in Seoul, South Korea, you can now catch JUMP here at Festive Grand™ Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa for only three days from 30 August to 1 September 2013.
