This year, lobsters are the featured prominently on the festive menus. In Chinese, lobster is known as “dragon shrimp”. The dragon symbolises power, strength and good luck in Chinese culture.

For families with elders who prefer traditional Cantonese cuisine.
Hong Kong-born Executive Chef Li Kwok Kwong brings authentic flavours of Cantonese cuisine with opulent twists to the Lunar New Year menu.
The Longevity Lo Hei comes with black truffle, black caviar and delicate quail eggs that represent the year of the Rooster. Accompanying the dish are crispy fried fish skin and pork bak kwa which gives the dish a crunchy texture.

Forest 森: For something out-of-the-ordinary
For families with adventurous appetites.
At 1-Michelin starred Forest 森, local Celebrity Chef Sam Leong brings his innovative contemporary Chinese cooking to the Lunar New Year menu.
One of our favourites, the Salmon Fruity Vegetable Yu Sheng, includes a mix of fruits and vegetables such as melon, pomelo, apple, seaweed and carrot, to give it a satisfying crunch. Mixed inside is crispy white bait and thinly-sliced salmon. The last step is a drizzle of refreshing homemade yuzu honey lime dressing.

Ocean Gallery: One-of-a-kind view of the underwater world
For families with young children.
Instead of watching Lunar New Year TV programmes during reunion dinner, opt instead for the tranquil and breathtaking scenery of the 12-metre deep Open Ocean Habitat at S.E.A. Aquarium.
With the Asian buffet spread including Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup), Vietnamese “Shaking Beef”, Peking Duck, Malaysian Assam Prawns, Java Chicken Noodles Soup, and Taiwanese Braised Pork Belly, even the pickiest little eater can find something they like.

The Hard Rock Coliseum: A breezy steamboat
For couples and families.

Here’s a different steamboat reunion: Thai-style suki steamboat. The spread of meat, seafood and veggie means there’s something for everyone at COCA Restaurant.

TungLok Heen: Traditional and contemporary Chinese
For couples and families with up to 10 members.
TungLok Heen, helmed by international Celebrity Chef Susur Lee, combines the best of both traditional and contemporary Chinese. In its Prosperity Salmon ‘Yu Sheng’, you’ll find shredded chargrilled chicken, fresh vegetables, mushrooms, homemade yam, and sweet potato shreds, topped its special plum sauce.

Celebrate the coming Lunar New Year with Putien’s “Pot of Goodies” pen cai at home.
Ingredients include whole abalone, sea cucumber, Putien dried clams and more. Each ingredient is individually cooked before they are carefully layered in a pot and simmered in stock for eight hours.

LATE NIGHT EATS AND BEER AT THE SUPPER CLUB
From 27 January to 12 February, RWS Forum B1 will be bustling with life late into the night.
You’ll find food stalls and a Beer Garden at The Forum operating from 10pm to 2am. A must-try is the Cantonese-style lobster congee at $8 which has been cooked in a lobster and chicken broth for four hours and has sliced Boston lobster meat.
At the Beer Garden, you can find Tiger Beer and Guinness Stout. We recommend trying “Beer Gao” a drink combining the former two beers.
