7 Instagram-able Food Items at HHN7

In today’s world of social media, it’s ‘Pics or it didn’t happen’. What’s more, said pics can’t be of just anything. They have to be of things that are out-of-the-ordinary, fascinating and, in a word – Insta-worthy. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of Insta-worthy food items exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights 7 (HHN7) – for you to snap, post and prove to all your Instagram followers that you were part of the in-crowd at the scare event of the year. We’ve even gone the extra mile and come up with suggestions for the type of shots you can take with each food item.

1. Liquid Fear

Your favourite HHN blood bag drink is back, this time with Silver Edible Lustre Dust! The ebb and flow of this year’s glitzy Liquid Fear (S$13) is so pretty, it’s best captured up close.

Witches’ Tears (Blue)
Zombie Virus (Red)
Angel of Death (Purple)

Shot suggestion: Boomerang
Sold at: various push carts during Halloween Horror Nights 7

2. Jello Shots

Jello Shots

Another perennial HHN favourite, these Jello Shots (S$7) in syringes will probably never go out of fad. The best part about getting one is that you get to bring the syringe home as an official HHN souvenir and fill it up over and over again.

Lime (Green)
Blueberry (Purple)

Shot suggestion: macro (show off that official HHN logo!)
Sold at: various push carts Halloween Horror Nights 7

3. Bloody Finger Cookies

Bloody Finger Cookies

These Bloody Finger Cookies (2 pieces at S$9) are not only great snacks to munch on when you’re walking from house to house or waiting in line, they double up as props for you to point at HHN7’s many Halloween-themed sets.

Shot suggestion: point at something
Sold at: Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor, StarBot Café

Here’s a bonus function of the Bloody Finger Cookies…

There’s something stuck in my teeth.

Did you notice something? Hang on.

What's that?
OH MY… Did Halloween come early this year??

Just kidding, that’s just a friendly statue at KT’s Grill.

4. In Your Mind

Essentially a Vanilla flavoured cupcake, In Your Mind (S$6) is frosted to resemble a brain and takes the phrase ‘eat your brains out’ to a whole new, literal level. We recommend taking photos with it while waiting in line for your Zombie Laser-Tag Experience so as to completely immerse yourself in the zombie apocalypse theme. Just be sure to finish it before it’s your turn to play – no food and drinks are allowed inside.

Shot suggestion: dry humour with witty caption
Sold at: Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor, StarBot Café

5. R.I.P

This realistic looking miniature tombstone, R.I.P. (S$16), is actually an oven baked beef lasagna served in chunky tomato sauce that promises to satiate your late night hunger pangs and fuel you through the night. Hand not included in this dish.

*No one was harmed in the making of this photo (except the cow).

Shot suggestion: macro
Sold at: Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor

6. Death Stare

Death Stare

Puns, puns and more puns. A chocolate cupcake creation, Death Stare (S$5) manages to look cutesy while staying true to the Halloween (horror) theme. Aside from its vibrant coloured cream frosting, the ball of chocolate on top makes it a rather eye-catching and Instagram-able snack at HHN7.

Shot suggestion: dry humour with witty caption
Sold at: Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor, StarBot Café

7. The 7 Screamers

The 7 Screamers

Served in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic flavours, each of The 7 Screamers (S$8 and S$6 respectively) contains White Edible Lustre Dust and is reminiscent of an enchanting potion one would expect to find in a dark and twisted fairy tale. The crystal clear shot glasses also reflect the colours of The 7 Screamers, thereby creating a rather eerie effect.

The Haunting (Red) – contains Tequila Sauza
Spellbound (Orange) – non-alcoholic
Zombie Apocalypse (Yellow) – contains Vodka
Grave Digger (Light copper) – contains Martini Bianco
Bone Yard (White) – non-alcoholic
Poison Apple (Green) – contains Gordin’s Gin
Midnight Shadow (Blue) – contains Bacardi Rum

Shot suggestion: bokeh effect
Sold at: KT’s Grill
