RWS Cares is proud to partner the Community Chest in the Care & Share Movement. The Care & Share Movement is a national fund-raising and volunteerism movement led by the Community Chest that aims to bring our nation together to show care and concern for the needy.
On 30 January 2016, Universal Studios Singapore played host to the inaugural Community Chest Charity in the Park, where approximately 4,000 donors, the beneficiaries and their caregivers enjoyed riding the movies and a big spread of Asean Hawker fare. Co-organised by Resorts World Sentosa, the event raised more than S$2.3 million for more than 80 charities supported by Community Chest.

Ten USS F&B outlets served authentic Asean hawker fare such as Hainanese chicken rice, Thai green curry, Malaysia’s Ramly burger, Vietnamese baguette and Indonesian barbeque chicken prepared by chefs and original hawkers flown in from the region.
This was the largest number of beneficiaries and caregivers hosted by RWS at USS, and an exciting opportunity for the beneficiaries, many of whom have never been to world-famous theme park. Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Minister for Social and Family Development was the Guest-of-honor.
