aRWSome Wishes is an initiative to reach out to the community during the festive Christmas period. It started in 2011 with the support of five Community Development Councils (CDCs), where 500 less privileged children penned their Christmas wishes and had them granted by the RWS’ team members.
The annual aRWSome Wishes on 4 December 2015 brought festive cheers to about 1,400 children beneficiaries and their families. Besides enjoying a preview of Santa’s All-Star Christmas at Universal Studios Singapore, the children also brought home their favourite Christmas presents from a four metre tall Christmas tree stacked with character-themed merchandise from the Transformers franchise, of Minions and many more.
Into its fifth installment, the signature event received great support from various stakeholders this year as they played a part in giving back to the community.
Thank you for such a wonderful event. One of the students’ mother loved this opportunity to bring her children into USS, as they had been wanting such an opportunity to ride the rides. They were all grateful for the goodie bags from USS, and they all have been asking me if such an opportunity would come up again. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to let these youths enjoy the rides and have so much fun in USS.
