There’s a reason why Santa’s long beard is more suited for the cooler climes of the North Pole; Singapore’s humid 32 degrees is no weather for a wooly coat and extravagant facial hair. But despite the heat, our aRWSome Santa, together with the Little Red Riding Hood, the Toy Soldier and around 45 aRWSome volunteers trooped over to CDCs (Community Development Councils) around Singapore to deliver Christmas goodies to 500 underprivileged children.
Just three weeks ago, these 500 children (aged between 6 months and 16 years) had their christmas wishes written on cards which were then hung on Christmas trees around the resort. Team members were encouraged to adopt the wishes in the spirit of giving. Within the week almost all were snapped up.

Collection of the gifts spanned over two days – it was amazing seeing the presents pouring in.

On the morning of the delivery, our aRWSome volunteers (together with a very enthusiastic Santa) piled all the presents into a van, excited to deliver the goodies to anticipating children.

aRWSome wishes is an initiative by Resorts World Sentosa, in partnership with the five CDCs through “Project We Care”.
