Helming Art at Curate 8 is Chef Alexandre Dionisio, who brings the stellar cuisine from Brussels’s two Michelin-starred ‘La Villa in the Sky’ here to Singapore. This exceptional dining event will be held at CURATE, only on 5 to 12 October 2017.

Considered one of his country’s rising culinary stars, Chef Dionisio is known for his European classics with a twist, influenced as they are by his Spanish origins.
Who’s the chef: Alexandre Dionisio
He began his culinary career in 1997 at the age of 15 in the kitchens of Le Passage. Under Chef Rocky Renaud, he learnt the basics of cooking before beginning his apprenticeship and rising to become sous-chef at the restaurant.
He went on to join Chef Pierre Wynants in 2003 at Comme Chez Soi, where he learnt to specialise in meat and sauces, becoming chef rotisseur in the process. Five years later, at 27 years old, he joined Chef Yvew Matagne at the Sea Grill, where he gained an in-depth understanding of cooking and presenting fish.
These encounters with three major names in the culinary scene in Brussels have shaped Chef Dionisio’s cooking style. Today, he enjoys working with simple products and to bring out the special qualities in them. He is constantly rethinking and evolving how he cooks.
Reality TV and venturing out
In 2010, he became a semi-finalist on Top Chef TV reality show. This success led to the opening of his eponymous restaurant, Alexandre, which received a Michelin Star just six months later.
Later in 2014, he embarked on a new adventure as the head chef of La Villa in the Sky, a restaurant 120 metres above ground with a breathtaking panoramic view of Brussels. It has become one of the best dining addresses in the city, holding two Michelin Stars in the edition of Michelin Guide 2017.
