[INSIGHTS] H: Halloween Horror Nights 2
On our sunny island, Halloween is not so much about the trick-or-treating, but all about getting scared. While there may be parties and mini get-togethers, thrill-seekers (and those forced by thrill-seekers) are coming out in droves and daring scare fests to freak them out. So it’s a good thing that, for all you brave souls out there, Universal Studios Singapore® is once again all set to morph into a harrowing land of horror with the region’s largest and most elaborate scare-fest, Halloween Horror Nights 2.
Come in for a quick peek at what to expect - if you dare.
[INSIGHTS] RWS Invites you to have lunch on us – again!
[NEWS] G: Grand Opening of RWS
Some of you might be confused by this news; hasn’t the Resort been around since 2010? Yes it has, but by 7 December, the Resort will be fully opened and operational. This means that all its attractions including Universal Studios Singapore®, the Maritime Experiential Museum, and the highly anticipated Marine Life Park will be up and running, alongside all 6 hotels and over 60 F&B offerings.
[FOOD] Eat and cook like a celebrity
Ever indulged in a lovely meal at a celebrity restaurant and thought “if only I can cook like this at home”? We thought the same, until we realize we can leave the wondering at home and join Chef Sam Leong’s culinary class – right after a delightfully delicious four-course set lunch. Now you can have your cake and eat it too.
[INSIGHTS] F: Resort Freebies
They say the good things in life are free. We agree, which is why we went around the Resort scouting for freebies that everyone can enjoy. And boy did we have fun; it’s called a national pastime for a reason after all. Here are a few things that we found.
[FOOD] E: Egg tarts!

Who can deny the creamy, fluffy, sinfully rich goodness of a perfect egg tart? A marriage between English custard tarts and the quintessential flavours of cha chan tings (茶餐厅; teahouses prevalent especially in Hong Kong), not even the staunchest of diet fanatics will judge you if you down a few of these custardy creations in one go. We sniffed out the places in the Resort where you’ll find these eggy delights, all created differently to suit your tastebuds.
[NEWS] New show Incanto plays this November
A brand new original theatrical magic spectacular, Incanto will play from 8 November at Festive Grand Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. Headlined by Joe Labero, one of the world’s top illusionists, Incanto will feature an ensemble of 50 international performers in a high-energy combination of extraordinary illusion, acrobatics, vocals and dynamic dance moves.
[INSIGHTS] D: Dirty business and eco-friendliness
Imagine the day when lush greenery and clear blue skies no longer exist. Our planet is increasingly stressed; a part of the cause is undeniably attributed to the amount of food waste we produce every year. The more we waste, the more we are contributing to the production of methane, the culprit for the ever-increasing temperature trap on our warming planet.
The surprising thing is, food waste CAN be recycled – and no, we’re not talking about making birthday cards with leftover cooked macaroni and using soggy spinach as embellishments. We’re talking about converting food waste into non-potable water.
[EAT] New menu at Palio
Buon giorno! Did you know that the Italians are fiercely proud of their cuisine? But don’t worry if you cannot tell the difference between linguine and tagliatelle or bucatini and orecchiette. Come to Palio, Resorts World Sentosa’s signature Italian restaurant and let Chef Davide Bizzarri treat you to his new menu.
A native of Pisa, Italy, where some of the best Italian classics are found, we got Chef Davide to tell us about the new offerings at Palio.
