Deck the halls with boughs of Christmas treats
It’s Christmas at Resorts World Sentosa, and what better way to celebrate than with a feast of glorious fairytale festive delights this Christmas season. From the very traditional—Christmas log cakes, gingerbread, honey baked ham and turkey—to the classics with modern twists—Santa Choco Bear, Citrus Fairyland Yule Log and the Panettone Basso Cioccolato, it’s time to kick-start this jolly season. All festive goodies have been created by award-winning pastry chef Kenny Kong who has recently joined the team at RWS.
We share our top six picks.
Who’s Who – Get to know our hotel front-desk folks!
So you head to the resort and find yourself surrounded by staff members in different uniforms, which isn’t surprising considering the number of attractions, hotels, and F&B outlets we offer. With a myriad of different threads, we’re pretty sure that you’re about as confused as we (sometimes) are when it comes to who to approach.
Who wears that red uniform at Universal Studios? Where’s that smartly-jacketed front-line staff from? In the first installment of a mini-series, we take a look at the various uniforms around RWS. We’ll kick things off with someone you’ll probably see a lot – hotel front-desk staff.

aRWSome Apprenticeship (Culinary) Part #2: Expectations
The inaugural aRWSome Apprenticeship in June saw the first group of Apprentices learning the ropes from a team of RWS chefs. Part of these apprentices will now join another group of our F&B team at RWS itself for the second part of their Culinary Apprenticeship.
Starting Nov 21 and taking place over two weeks, the 11 Apprentices will learn the other part of the culinary business – the things that happen outside the kitchen, but are equally important for a complete guest’s experience.
We talked to two of the Apprentices, Vicknesh Roshan and Ernest Ooi Jun Lin from Swiss Cottage Secondary School to find out what they expect to take away from this experience.

6 things from the TRANSFORMERS Supply Vault
Many of you must be excited about the ride – I know I am. And if you are like me, you must be itching to know what you can bring home after your N.E.S.T. mission.
Walking the TNP Big Walk 2011
I admit, I probably don’t exercise as much as I should; walking to and from the MRT station on weekdays doesn’t count. So I decided to do something about it. And that something came in the form of The New Paper Big Walk.
